the illusion that we’re not lost alone


We still want significance and happiness, but we’re stuck searching in all the wrong places, all of us running down all the same dead-end roads, because the only comfort in being lost is the illusion that we’re not lost alone. Be we are. We, in our brokenness and sin, rebel against God, lust after autonomy, and hoist up trifles—until God himself comes to save us.

That’s what Jesus did.
